Bridport, Dorset

Tracey the owner of Sunbird has been travelling to and buying from India for more than 35 years with her passion being in tribal textiles. She has a wealth of experience, starting from having a stall in Camden in the 80s where she sold original tribal textiles and clothing that she had sourced directly from the Banjara communities across India. Tracey has also traded at music festivals here in the UK and in Europe along with running a shared shop in Brighton for 12 years. Tracey has now channelled all of her experience into her new retail shop in Bridport, which is a treasure trove of eclectic mix of old meets new. Inside you will find old hand embroidered textiles (some from her personal collection), modern clothing using old Kanthas, recycled saris, hand block printed clothing and colourful hill tribe embroidered accessories that she has personally sourced from Thailand. It's truly a shop full of fabulousness!

Return Policy

We really hope you will love your purchase but if not, we do accept returns for a full refund or exchange. All returns must be sent back within 10 days of receiving your order. 

Please email us at with your name and item you wish to return and we can then provide you with the return address.

All returns must be unworn and in their original condition. Customers are responsible for return postage costs and we strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage as we cannot be responsible for any items that go missing. Once the item has been received by us we will then process the full refund back to you (minus the original and return postage cost). 

All sale items are non-refundable but we are happy to offer an exchange for the same value as the original purchased item. Please follow the instructions as above to return the item and then we will send the exchange (customers are responsible for the return postage cost).
